Delivery & Shipping
Long Distance Shipping:
We ship orders using the USPS to most destinations within the United States.
Most all of our products are made fresh-to-order, and your purchase will ship from our facility within three to five business days.
Shipping charges are calculated based on weight and zip code.
Due to the nature of our product it is often necessary to utilize special packaging and/or ice packs (weather/climate) when shipping chocolate which may add to the weight of the package.
Accuracy is important! We want to make sure that we are able to accurately process your order. The details of your name, billing address, shipping address, and method of payment are critical. We cannot be responsible for errors in information that is provided to us. Costs resulting from such errors will be charged to you.
Delays: Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible or issue refunds for delays caused by USPS due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather, mechanical error, or delays as a result of an incorrect or incomplete destination address.
Packages are shipped with a signature release, meaning there is no required signature by the receiving address. It is important to alert the receiver that the package will be delivered to their door so it won’t be subjected to weather or other hazards.
Expedited Shipping:
There are added fees for expedited orders and Next Day deliveries.
We cannot guarantee that the USPS will deliver your order the next day. We only have control in getting your order shipped.
We reserve the right to ship this type of shipment on weekdays (excluding holidays) only. This helps keep your product from being in the postal system over the weekend.
Warm Climate / Time of Year
Chocolates will be packed with cold packs for temperature control. It is possible that we must add an additional cost of $5.00 for the addition packaging and cold packs. West Coast orders are shipped only on Mondays & Tuesdays.
Return Policy
Unfortunately, Serious Chocolate is not responsible for missing, stolen or damaged packages after they are delivered to the address specified by the customer or for orders returned or delayed due to incorrect or undeliverable addresses.
We are not responsible for shipping delays while your product is in transit due to weather, strike, mechanical failure, or circumstances beyond our control, and are not able to offer refunds for those reasons.
Under normal circumstances, we do not take returns. Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. However, if merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately. Please note that we do we reserve the right to handle these issues on a case by case basis.
